I am a Beta at Sparkly Red Pen and Project Team Beta, and I offer my services beside that.

My Style:
I will always be honest and you may find my comments a bit harsh, but don't take it personally.

The time it'll take for me to return a chapter to you varies, sometimes it takes less than 48 hours, sometimes it can take a week, but I'll try to work as fast as possible.

When beta'ing, I use MS Word's Review Mode, because this way the author can easily spot my comments.
Also keep in mind that I will not write the story for you, so I have to see that you put a little effort in it.

I have to understand the story in order to beta it. I know there are things a writer can't give away in the first chapter, but try to tell the readers as much as possible, so they aren't left in the dark.

There are a few things I require if you want me to beta your story:

1. Must be formatted properly.

2. I prefer .docx format or anything MS Word can open.

3. You must use spell check before sending it to me.

4. Don't send me a chapter that is switching tenses in every sentence, doesn't have punctuation or is full of grammar mistakes. People, if you don't know the basics of the English language and you're too lazy to look it up, don't even ask me to be your Beta, because I will most likely tell you to stop writing altogether.

Strengths:

I'm best at spelling, grammar, capitalization, dialogue, tense and punctuation.

I'm very good at commonly confused words (their, they're, there). It annoys the hell out fo me when people confuse those words.

I will help you at avoiding Mary Sues, making Mary Sues, avoiding OOCness or making a character OOC.

I can spot major plot holes and I will tell you if something doesn't make sense, but I'm not that good at plot developement.

I'm fairly good with commas, but sometimes I tend to put them where they don't belong.

Weaknesses:

My biggest weaknesses are description, battle scenes, lemons and sentence flow.

I become easily frustrated if I see the same mistake over and over again, and if the chapter has very many mistakes. I tend to misplace commas.

I'm not good with humor or poetry.

I can be picky and stubborn.

I also can't really give ideas, don't ask me if you are having a Writer's Block. I can try to help if I have ideas, but that won't happen very often.

And I'm human, I make mistakes.

Preferred:

I will only beta for Twilight. I would preferably work on stories that have Jasper as a main character, he can be with any female, but I will do E/B stories, if they capture my eye.

I also love very very dark stories. I'm comfortable with sensitive topics, meaning that I can do incest, gore, rape, self-harm, drugs, etc.

I am a sucker for angst, Hurt/Comfort, family bonding, and I absolutely love Polyamorous stories (if they have Jasper).

Not My Cup of Tea:

As I said above, I won't beta anything other than Twilight.

I would prefer to work on slash only in poly stories, and I would rather not do femslash (I might change my mind if I really like the story).

I won't do incest or anything with a wolf or a member of the Volturi as the main character. I won't do Bella/Jacob, either (only if it's very very good).

I'm not good with humor or poetry. I'm generally not very good with drabbles or something that is very short, so I would prefer to work on longer stories. One-shots are welcome.

No songfics.

I try to stay away from Nessie-centered stories, but I will do a story like that if it captures my eye.

Your story must be original, don't give me crap like 'Cullens read Twilight' or 'An ordinary girl suddenly finds herself in the Twilight world', I hate those.

No Crossovers.

No smut.

I won't do anything that is very very bad.
